Due to Kelud Mt. eruption in 2014, Kabupaten Kediri, one of Kelud surrounding regions, had a dramatic decrease in its tourism sector. A lot of confusion was milling around, and most of the people assumed that Kediri had no attractive point anymore since Kelud has erupted. In order to re-establish its tourism sector, the government worked with our team to create an interactive e-kiosk to be placed in such strategic places like the airport and tourism spots.
In the middle of development process, the government decided to take this e-kiosk into a more accessible platform that also reduced costs of e-kiosk booths creation. Therefore, this e-kiosk is now also can be accessed through Android platform in Google Play through this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.KediriTourism&hl=en
Since Kabupaten Kediri didn't provide sufficient data to build this application, the development time of this application was quite long. Our team needs to collect data, took photos of all tourism spots, created maps and articles, then combined them all into the graphical material. All process was built from scratch until graphic creation stage, and then developed fully in Adobe Flash.
