A Picture Book for Big Kids
Love Squared is a humorous and light hearted picture book for ages nine to ninety. The book was written and illustrated by the artist over a four-year period. The first print edition was limited at two-hundered signed copies available at matthewjfrock.com. The author is currently searching for a publisher to produce a larger, commercial print.
Synopsis:
Far off, in a not too distant star system a new and mysterious energy is about to be discovered. Two science-minded, creative individuals known as Gary and Ronda suspect something is missing on their home planet, Earl. The two scientists combine their research in an effort to identify the missing element. Gary has an epiphany and suggests they convert Ronda’s house into a rocketship to explore space in search of the void. Gary’s idea gives way to a series of comic events encompassing Earl bureaucracy, day-time television and mob mentality. Ironically, it’s Gary who fouls up the mission and strands the crew in space after making a simple oversight. However, after a few weeks in solitary orbit around Earl, new and exciting discoveries are made propelling Gary and Ronda’s research forward to heartwarming conclusions.
