I Want To Make You Uncomfortable

Project Type: Exhibition (Final Year University Project)

The project aims to create (a series of) installations that instigates discomfort to create awareness of “good design”.
Similar to Christian Louboutin’s manifesto and observation, “When a woman buys a pair of shoes, she never looks at the shoe. She stands up and looks in the mirror, she looks at the breast, the ass, from the front, the side, etc. If she likes herself, then she considers the shoe” rings through to interior design where the user rarely looks at the elements that makes up the space individually, but concentrates on how the spaces makes them feel physically and psychologically, becoming the deciding factor of the duration of stay and/or the likeness of the space.

This experimental project thus aims (or at least begin) to highlight and increase awareness of some of these elements that makes up well-designed interior spaces by accentuating discomfort.
