Project Type: Exhibition
A proposed three months exhibition in Wheeler’s Yard (a warehouse space) encompassing Oskar Schlemmer’s pursuit of Gesamtkunstwerk through the medium of theatre. Work from artists related to his following, direct influences or influenced, (Xanti Schawinsky, Kazimir Malevich, and Alwin Nikolais) are also included alongside Schlemmer’s work which introduces the avant-garde theatre.
My design approach to creating dramatic spaces that evoke strong emotions from users by defining moments (and adding elements of fun) within a space will be reflected into the design as colour, lighting and comfort levels will be experimented to bring forward a dynamic spatial experience to visitors.
