the metal pieces are magnets. All i used to create this table was balsa wood, magnets, glue, sandpaper, and a piece of glass from a small picture frame.
In my orginal concept the slats would be a chrome material. When i went to micheals and homedepot i could not find anything to the scale i wanted made of metal. The coffee table is to scale ^_^
The wood you see on the table is just a sculpture i made out of tree bark.
This table is a seperate and first version of the table. I tried using a tape i found that had a dark woodgrain on it. I ended up hating it and throwing this table away and making the second one that is just the balsa wood.
