Felix and his red ball is an interactive book for iPad thatt narrates the adventures of Felix the otter and his friends. The book was made using the ipad software Demibooks Composer Pro. Children are offered two versions of the story: read along or read by myself. Besides, the story includes several touch zones that trigger animations and sounds and provides objects that can be dragged around the screen.

Illustration process. All of the illustrations where vectorized and stylized with photoshop filters.
Each one of the parts composing the illustrations had to be individually layered and saved as an image.
The software used for animating and composing the book was Demibooks Composer Pro, the 1st iPad-based, interactive book app authoring software.

Children can choose between reading the book by themselves or the read-along option, where the book is narrated by a woman.
Objects can bounce or "float" around the page and can also be dragged and moved around with finger gestures.
It also includes especial effects like sounds and objects entering or dissapearing after certain time passes.
Animations can be triggered by touching some areas of the screen.
The book allows children to interact with the story and its characters.
