WHERE ALL THE WILD THINGS ARE

It's just a fun project that I had collected around the Formosa for two years, and will keep expanding and modifying.
It's inspired by the same name Maurice Sendak's picture book - "Where the wild things are," one of my favorite story tale since I was a little boy. The story fascinated me by the crazy and wild animals and I started to believe that they might be hiding somewhere around my surrounding. So I took two stages of exploring the inspiration.

The first stage is I started to randomly and freely bring my Nikon FM2 and LCA+ to explore my mother island - Formosa (Taiwan), playing hide-and-seek with the animals that were living somewhere in this small and beautiful land in my leisure time. So basically I just photographed with no purpose during this stage, simply enjoying the process of exploring and finding.

Since it's all captured by the traditional camera and films, you will find my special interest and focus were mainly cats and dogs. Those beautiful creatures just amazed me in different ways. But while I was editing the project, its also obvious that they are just too many cats and dogs...So I'm absolutely gonna explore a variety of animals within my limited budget in the future lol.
