Dreamweaver GUI - Unnoficial Design Conception (Draft)

Dreamweaver has amazing features. Really useful for who works with sites and webapps. And this new dark mode is really cool.

But the main reason of all developers, designers and coders I know not use Dreamweaver is because its GUI is too old and there's too many unnecessary options and buttons for a usual day.

People prefere to use something more simplified as Sublime, Atom, Coda2, even Brackets, but not Dreamweaver.

As a UI/UX designer, I think my best collaboration with this beta is talk about design, so I propose a complete redesign, thinking in UX and real usability.

Its just a draft I made, but I hope it could be useful for the Dreamweaver Team.

Sugestions

1. Preview opened files bar with a quick manage option.

2. Simplify all text edit area, and allow more usable functions. The text edit is the main area on Dreamweaver, it needs to be more functional and beautiful.

3. Project custom Workspace. Workspaces is not just something personal, its more individual per project than per user. Some projects are more visual and needs more design, as front-ends projects and another needs some more coder options. I have some friends as myself, that prefer light workspace for front-ends projects and dark for back-ends, for example.

4. A better Scroll-bar. As I said before, text edit area is the main important area, so its the scroll bar cant be a distraction for coder. Most of coders uses mouse roll or two fingers. The scroll-bar is more an indicative graphic than a interactive graphic nowadays.

5. Panels organize on right. Of course the user can change it, but if the panels/tools bar are in the same side, the user dont feels cloistered. Also you can move your eyes for the same point when you need to use a tool. Its a more fast way to find what you want.

6. A better and useful file management. Adobe has Bridge wich is one of the best file manager of the world. Why dont use it? Some front-enders needs to view the assets thumbs, coders needs to find their files easier. So, a total integration with Bridge is very useful to find and transfer files between local and servers.
