Early on in my career, back in the days of Quark XPress, I worked on internal communications for General Mills. They had very active employee and retiree clubs with many events, trips and discounts for members. I worked on newsletters and materials to promote club activities. My favorite part of this work was interviewing and writing about General Mills retirees, who always had incredible stories to tell and were some of the most interesting people I've ever met.
