Science Methodologies in a Playful Book

Illustrated Science Methodologies in a Playful Book
FHNW Hochschule für soziale Arbeit (School of Social Work), 2016

The School of Social Work FHNW examined planning and designing open spaces close to nature, with and for children in urban areas in a research project. Comprehensive findings of the project and the developed methods are now visualized in a publication in an appealing but nevertheless scientifically correct way.

The publication is designed as a working tool for spatial developers and educators. Superdot focused on the content, structured it and visualized it with illustrations, schemas, and other dynamic visual elements.
We have developed a distinct visual and illustrative language, including necessary icons, for the instruction manual of the methods on near-to-nature playgrounds for children. A diagram serves as an overview as well as navigator through the project and its methods.
The foldable poster with the method and project overview was produced in addition to the printed book publication, as well as existing website of the project was adapted to the new visual language.
