Bristol Bright Night 2015 was part of the prestigious Europe-wide Researchers’ Night initiative and a collaboration between the University of BristolUniversity of the West of England and Bristol Natural History Consortium (BNHC). Bright Night was an event-packed day to celebrate the diversity of research being done across the city.
I worked as a Communications Assistant at the Centre for Public Engagement at the University of Bristol to publicize, help organize and assist with the logistics on the day. I created the CPE webpage and proofed much of the printed material.
The night was a great success, engaging people from all over the city, with a packed house in At-Bristol for the final events of the evening.
One of the most popular stands in At-Bristol was Science Cocktails.
Bright Night used creative ways to engage the public in research including stand up comedy.
