I've always had a fascination with ciphers, codes and hieroglyphs. I'd learnt of the amazing Alan Turing and his Enigma code machine which coincided with a visit with my dad to the Tutankhamun exhibition at the British Museum – like most boys of my age I was gripped.

Later I'd spend hours creating little icons and making up 'secret' codes. And yes, I read Enid Blyton books too, which further fueled my imagination! As if that wasn't enough, coded notes candidly appeared on my brothers pillow in the vain hope he'd attempt to decipher them. Truth is, he had to – if he wanted his games back!

You could say I've relived these childhood fantasies in the work below, with a fresh perspective, being apprenticed in the art of typographics, creative artwork, graphic design & music production.
Only three examples below (and there are more)... in some ways highlighting very modern human traits: find something, nurture it and then go that one step further... anyway, I hope you enjoy !
