This is a short piece of a room I modeled in Autodesk Maya. The space is inspired by my mother's dining room (the title is her maiden name), combined with exaggerated baroque elements I picked up on while studying the Thorne miniature rooms at the Art Institute of Chicago. The painting at the focal point of the room was made in Adobe After Effects, inspired by 15th century Dutch landscape paintings. This element was reused from my Digital Landscapes series.
I recorded the music myself, layering many tracks of my baby Appalachan mountain dulcimer, which my grandfather made.
