Creative director Elliott Chaffer of Trollbäck + Company wanted to use practical effects to create the show open for HBO's series ANY GIVEN WEDNESDAY WITH BILL SIMMONS. Christopher Webb and the team at his FX WRX manipulated the props, camera, and lighting with custom built rigs to create the illusion of zero gravity.

Each object being pulled toward “Planet Bill” was captured individually as it spun on a multi-axis robotic motion head developed by MYT Works. The camera was positioned at varying angles while it dollied away from each object on precision track. Moving lights brought life to the planet’s surface and created the in-camera shift from light to dark for the show title reveal.
