This brief was to recreate a piece of work by a famous artist, from the perspective of an Art Director. To start with we were to throughly research our assigned artist and investigate the body of work available, and then narrow our options down to just one piece of artwork. We were to approach the brief in a fresh and contemporary manner or parody. The choice was up to us. This module was to help and progress with our photography skills, because we had to plan and set up our own photographyic production.
The image above is version of the famous Michelangelo piece, and underneath you can compare it to the original. You can see the similarities in the positions and props as well as working in black and white which highlights the shadows on each of the soliders.
