NEO 5.3 Tactical Virtual Trainer UI Concept

The NEO concept was just put together for a tutorial session for UI for a Virtual Trainer or a Video Game layout. All the menus and buttons would not be presented at the same time, this is just the preliminary layout to find Hierarchy button structure as well and continuity in look and style. I could see something like this for say Splinter Cell or Metal Gear. In these three stages I outline the process that I use when creating UI.
Stage 1: Black and white layout in AI. To find the style, shapes and balance of the UI. No color except ocasional gray scale so that I can solely focus on the UI construction.
Stage 2: Adding the color and effects in AE.Now that the layout is done and dialed in, I now focus on the coloring scheme to try to dial in what potential looks I can choose from.
Stage 3: After adding mock content of the subject matter that I am designing for I further dial in the colors, overlays, up & down states of buttons and glows.
