This project was fun. I was hired for designing a logo for a restaurant (typical Indian restaurant) in Queensland, Australia. The main requirement from the client was to reflect Indian feeling on the design. Besides it needed to be classy and modern looking logo. I went ahead and did some brainstorming on Indian food and treditional color. Bangladeshi and Indian (almost all South Asian food) are famous for its hotless and spices. So I choose the color red as the primary color for the logo. As I came up with an idea of hot flame on the name I designed the version -1. I liked it but the client regected it because it was not indian enough.
Later I came up with other 3 ideas trying makeing it more idian looking and I design some flowry logo with a nice typography that is actually english but it looks like hindi. Client loved it. I also designed other 2 versions for the client to choose from. One reflects the Taj Mahal and another reflects the red chili which is very common in indian food.
