OBJECT BASED EXPERIMENTS - 2014
A prototype for a futuristic pen inspired by the film Gattaca. It consists of an aluminium front end made with a combination of CNC and manual lathe work, paired with a black 3D printed part to complete the form.
Poetics of Movement
Focusing on the essence of function, this machine elegantly transfers a pin from one position to another, inspired by a planting motion.
This bottle is designed to be used in a survival situation. Its fluid, organic form reflects the environment in which it is used. The inverted curved surface on the top side of the bottle allows for exterior rain water collection. It can be poured straight into the mouth as it flows off the pointed end or sit nestled in the dirt to collect over time. The bottle can also be used as a tool to transfer water such as scooping from a stream.
The bottle consists of two vacuum formed plastic shells. Two CNC moulds were created for shaping the plastic.
