Holepunch is a geometric display typeface, made from a set of limited shapes and cut styles, inspired by the process of punching holes in sheets of paper.

Basic shapes were a prominent building block in visual grammar within the Bauhaus and they were deemed a powerful way to communicate. So, these ideals have been channelled into Holepunch. Taking influence from elementary principles, the letterforms have been reduced to the most essential elements by utilising the basic shapes of the square and the circle. Simple.

The square's uniformity provides rigidity, yet the fusion of circles gives a subtle softness to the letters and numerals and produces rather quirky results. Ultimately, the abstract typeface communicates in the shortest, simplest and most penetrating form. Holepunch is memorable, instantly recognisable and is boldly expressive, thriving mainly in headlines.
