What a Spray Polyurethane Foam Install should look like
Prime Energy Group - Meritage Homes
The million dollar question is, "What is Spray Foam supposed to look like installed?"  Clients, builders, and code officials alike, they all know the product works but, except for a select few, no one knows much more than what they have seen on HGTV.  Most importantly, your foam installation is only as good as the contractor you choose to install it.  All foam is field manufactured, i.e made on site at the project location, so if your contractor is not an expert, they will manufacture a bad product and then it will be permanently in your structure.  The collection of pictures below shows a perfect foam installation done by Prime Energy Group.  Each framing cavity is filled to the designed and modeled depth, the foam has excellent adhesion, no peel back areas, no voids, no pockets, the roof deck is sprayed to the designed and modeled depth which is uniform throughout, there are no dripping and sagging areas, no peel back from the roof, and the roof deck is coated with the appropriate ignition barrier coating (orange in color).
