Norwegian School of Creative Studies (Norges Kreative Fagskole, Bergen) Second year project Focusing on 3D typography, our client is a well known restaurant in Bergen named Smakverket, known for its great dishes, skilled baristas and good prices. Working with terms and expressions from a cooking/barista environment, we worked with bringing out the art in cookery as well as the great love for food the owners bring out in their daily work. I worked with the norwegian term "piske" meaning whip. The material I chose was steel and aluminium wire, a material our dollar-store whisks usually consists of. The handscript typography was more or less commanded by the materials, the cylinder-spiral-shape already existed within the object itself, and thus it felt more natural to take advantage of this shape.
