These images were originally printed in two copies of a 16" x 16" hand-bound book. One has been added to Olin College's collection of student art and the other is mine.
This series contains a number of images with impossible situations. These situations have been created entirely through creative photography and only one has been digitally modified to create an illusion. My goal in presenting this collection is to encourage the viewer to  question the assumptions that generally accompany a photograph. Whereas most pictures have a single physical reference frame to which all elements conform, my images have two reference frames that may make sense individually, but are impossible when combined. I want the reader to realize how easy it is to trick the mind with these photographs and to consider that many other images are only carefully planned illusions.
