Francois du Plessis and Gerrit Coetzee are two amateur adventurers looking to become the first unsupported kayakers to paddle uninterrupted around the coast of South Africa. The expedition, named Hope On Board, seeks to raise funds for the Lungisisa Indlela Village, a non-profit organisation looking after orphans and vulnerable children based in Kwazulu-Natal, and to raise awareness to the importance of shark conservation to maintain an ecological balance in our oceans. The expedition will rely heavily on community participation to run its website, provide accommodation when possible and most importantly, spread the message of hope that the kayakers will aim to bring. The trip is aimed at getting people involved and excited about the potential that South Africa has. Here's the first logo option for the project.
