There is a fierce particularity that pervades us all at the soul level. I use a personal iconography to try to capture this essence in paint with color, form, mark-making and gesture. The dresses, symbolic of the feminine provide a place for me to leap...........a place where the pull of expression can become externalized and hopefully felt by the audience..........in that space of witnessing, for a moment, there is a unity with each other, you and I, that exists in that gap, where the artist and the audience meet.
