Roll Out Garden is a temporary intervention aiming to draw pedestrians to an alternative, quieter route and leisure space within the city grid. This project aims to rethink our use of streets within a compactcity and is able to be replicated across the urban landscape, becoming 'greenurban acupuncture' as the different strips link and take visitors on a journeythrough the city.

This second large scale Roll Out Garden project aims to embrace the renewal of ‘Garden City’ Christchurch as a smarter, more sustainable and community based city after the 2011 Earthquakes. Built on the Old Ward’s Brewery site, north-east of the City Center, Roll Out Park is a large outdoor pedestrian friendly grass area developed around markets, community gardens and leisure cafe spaces.
