SMALL HOUSE Common Eider created by GagaLT

Eiders (Gaga in Lithuanian language) are large birds that breed in the cooler latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere. They distinguish themselves from the other birds by their down feathers that keep eiders worm in their nests. The down feathers of eiders are highly valued as a magical material to fill pillows and quilts as well as making warm clothes.

Eiders with their living tendency, very closely reflect the way we design and build our modular houses that are made of wood. We design and build modular houses that can perfectly integrate with the surrounding nature and are suitable for the warm season.
Eiders spend a long time in their hatching places and only when the frost takes over the coast line they move further to the sea. Like Eithers, we move to our summer houses early in the spring before the first sunrise warms up the earth and we close their doors in winter just before the first frost bite.

Our modular houses are designed to provide you with comfort. They incorporate cultural features of different regions of Lithuania whilst avoiding the traditional image of a house made of logs. The external walls of our modular houses are engraved with delicate Baltic ornaments that according to folks, bring prosperity to its inhabitants.

Our modular home designs vary in style and size. Currently we offer you a choice of three different size modular houses:
Paprastoji gaga (small size), sibirine gaga (medium size) and skiauteretoji gaga (large size). For each of them, you have an option to choose the level of finishing: linen – simple and clear; wooden – firm, good quality, amber – Lithuanian gold quality.
To build our houses we use natural and good quality material: wood, slate and glass. We take our inspiration we take from surrounding wilderness and history. Without ignoring traditions, we combine this with modern ideas, materials and technology.

Paprastoji gaga (small size house)

This is the smallest house that we can offer you. It is designed to accommodate a family of 2-4 people. You will be able to enter the house through tambour, through the open shutters or terrace. The shutters are designed to overcome bad weather as well as keeping the property safe from any unwanted guests.

On the ground floor in our modular houses there is a kitchen, lounge and a bathroom. All the bedrooms are situated in the attic. We anticipate that in summer most of the time would be spent in a terrace especially if the view is towards the garden, forest, lake, river or sea. Even on a rainy day you will enjoy spending the time on the terrace which is protected by the roof. The walls in the terrace are designed to protect you from the sun and not to block the view.

If you enjoy spending time with large groups of people, however prefer to live separately – you may consider situating two paprastoji gaga next to each other by conjoining terrace. In such way you can socialize with your friends from the opposite house in one enlarged terrace area whilst preserving your privacy on the other end of the house.
