    tides and atmospheres over the tense and captivating point between land, sea and sky. The presence or absence of a horizon in ones view stimulates ideas and questions of the future - drawing ones attention to the infinity of nature. Jay Appleton in The Experience of Landscape, discusses how contemplating the horizon directs attention ‘particularly to speculation about what lies beyond it, and the horizon itself seems to be the key which can provide the answer to such speculation’. Creating these pieces was an act of contemplation of colour, light and atmosphere and they are a meditation on my place in nature and my relationship to something beyond the horizon. Read Less
