History of festival sound so It takes place on the territory of Kolomenskoye, a former tsar’s estate, now a state-owned historical, architectural and nature reserve museum, located only 10 km south-east of the city center. Since its start in 2004, the Afisha Picnic has followed the concept that mixes professional music festival featuring performances of international artists and local independent musicians, and urban-style event with all sorts of entertainment, such as designers’ market, gastronomic area, games and crafts, sports and amusements, lectures and workshops. The festival is visited by 50,000 visitors that spread out over 1,000 acres (4.0 km2) of land.

The festival is organized by the Afisha Magazine, a major entertainment and listings     
monthly. It has both Moscow and federal editions, and is local media trendsetter and insider on the cultural scene. Afisha is published by the Moscow-based Afisha Company.

For the second year in a row Nord Collective collaborates with The Afisha Picnic working on opening titles
for the same named annual music festival, this time in close collaboration with festival’s art director.

The opening’s style is based on festival’s wristbands, one of which is stylised blade of grass.
Wristband composed of two parts: root (the static part) and
colourful plate (dynamic part) where text is placed. 
 
 
 
 
 
 


Colour palette consists of screaming red-pink, rich green and black,
accompanied by perfect white.
 
 
 

 
 
 
 

Additional element used as decor is a pattern composed of two symbols:
