New Trade Paperback Edition: Gulliver's Travels

PROJECT BRIEF
Next November 30th will mark the 350th birthday of Jonathan Swift, widely regarded as the greatest prose satirist in the English language, and a call for the redesign a cover for a new trade paperback edition of Swift's masterpiece, Gulliver's Travels.
The design should be built around an illustration based in the style of designer and illustrator, David Plunkert, specifically focused on Plunkert's figurative, simple geometric spot illustration work.

CONCEPT
Utilizing political and religious references in coorelation to specific events within the novel to portray the satirical aspects of the book while using the negative space cutouts to have a deeper second look meaning that provides a hidden coorelation to the non-fictional events with the spot coloring to emphasize the fictional elements while having the barbarity and stupidity heightened by the absurdity of the illustration to promote the novels satire.
