The motive of the project was to combine different mediums of animation and video editing to form an exceptional music video which was mix media in nature . The project is a blend of Live action footage , 3d background and 2d elements binded together with compositing . This project was completed under the guidance of Prof. Binoj John in MIT Institute of design ,pune .
The story is about the dark side that each of us have within us and how we try to conceal it from even our loved and trusted ones . This story shows how the boy goes through a great deal of struggle between his demon and his loved one and how he choses his loved oneover it .
The intitial steps included detailed storyboard and animatics of the whole song .The motive was to match the timings and duration of the elements of the video .
The next step included of shooting the live action footage in front of a chroma screen . The whole footage was shot shot in 2 Days and thegreen screen was set up by my fellow crew .
The next step was to model and texture the whole background in Autodesk maya . After the modellling and Texturing the footage was rendered in targa sequence
The next step was to decide the treatment for the video . The treatment that was fianlised was a crtoon effect with 2d elements and texts in support of it .
The last of all was the compositing . All the footage was binded together to form a composition and the camera pan and track was added in after effects. Below is the breakdown of the layers in a compostition .
