Entrevista - All Folks apresenta Clã do Barril Voador

The Clã do Barril Voador (Flying Barrel Clan) is part of the music scene of Minas Gerais combining Rock and Roll, Brazilian, American, Italian and Irish folklore elements, among others. Its members are from the capital city, Belo Horizonte, and from the countryside of Minas Gerais, Pouso Alegre. With interpretations of traditional styles, the band has been highlighted in the niche audience related to the proposed style. In 2008, was "Featured Artist" in MySpace Brazil. The concerts are made of live songs of the authors and versions of songs from renowned artists using a performance that combines the visceral and irreverent energy of Rock and Roll with the subtlety of folk culture. During the recording of their first album, the Clan launches his latest single, “Réquiem pra Matar” (Requiem to Kill), in which are obvious the musical references of Rockabilly, Country, Bluegrass, and Hard Rock, in addition to the conceptual references of characteristic elements of the taverns, the life in the countryside of Minas Gerais and Western movies. These characteristics are mixed up in the, mythical and real, bucolic and cosmopolitan, paradoxical universe of the Clã do Barril Voador.

O Clã do Barril Voador surge em meio à cena musical mineira do Rock and Roll, combinando elementos folclóricos brasileiros, americanos, italianos e irlandeses. Seus integrantes, naturais tanto da capital, Belo Horizonte, quanto do interior de Minas Gerais, Pouso Alegre, vêm de bandas de diversos estilos, o que compõe e enriquece a identidade do novo grupo. Com interpretação de estilos tradicionais, o conjunto tem se destacado no nicho de público relacionado ao estilo proposto. Em 2008, foi “Artista em Destaque” no MySpace Brasil. As apresentações ao vivo oferecem músicas autorais e versões de músicas de artistas renomados, através de uma performance que combina a energia visceral e irreverente do Rock and Roll com a sutileza da cultura folclórica. O Clã lança seu último single, “Réquiem pra Matar”, no qual são evidentes as referências musicais de Rockabilly, Country Music, Bluegrass e Hard Rock, e as referências conceituais de um ideário composto de elementos característicos das tavernas, da vida campestre mineira e dos filmes Western. Essas características mesclam-se compondo o paradoxal universo mítico e real, bucólico e cosmopolita do Clã do Barril Voador.
