“The Poetry of holy signs” illustration and lettering design was created to communicate the hidden meaning of signs, symbols, or graphical objects embedded in Holy Bibles, Holy Song Books, and Roman Catholic Rites and Ceremonies. My aim is to present this information to everyday audience through illustration and lettering design.
In design process I researched Roman Catholic history through rites and ceremonies book, Holy Bibles, and Holy Song Books in order to find uncommon signs, symbols, or graphical objects hidden in these documents. I analyzed and divided these symbols into 3 categories: Blessing; Encouragement; Quotations. Based on these categories, I use Thai ornaments and create calligraphic designs for each category and used them in 12 illustrations and lettering designs.
