SIGNAGE SYSTEM // 2015

The Museum of Tolerance wants to teach people about the holocaust by allowing people to experience of the event themselves. During the holocaust, the Jewish population in Germany rapidly diminished until they completely disappeared from the rest of society. To mirror this part of history, random letters are removed from words and parts of objects are removed. The signage seems to be missing something and looks incomplete, resembling how society would have been with an entire population wiped out. By having random letters and objects removed, this signage system aligns itself with the goal of the museum, having visitors experience the tragedy.
