This Back Bay apartment was struck by lightning in a summer storm, and the resulting fire burned the top unit out completely. Below: smoke and water stains on the bubbling drywall; burned out studs; the rusted honeycomb inside of the metal door to the roof, which was ripped open by the lightning strike; multi-colored patinas on the copper of the headhouse; and the twisted metal hole where the lightning actually hit.
