This two litographies were made during my stay in Wroclaw. Both capture my feelings at some point of the semester. This first one, called Carcomiéndome, talks about my feelings at the start of the semester, pressed to start a new life and was hard to feel comfortable. It was also my first litography, so I did experiments with the wide range of textures this technique allows to do.
Hice estas dos litografías durante mi estancia en Wroclaw, ambas plasman mis sentimientos en algún punto del semestre. La primera, Carcomiéndome, cuenta cómo me sentí al inicio del semestre presionada a empezar una vida nueva y era difícil sentirse cómoda. También fue mi primera litografía, por lo que experimenté con la variedad de texturas que podría conseguir con esta técnica.
In this case I take advantage of the scars the roller makes over the stone when you grind it to obtain a circular texture. It helps me to represent the brambles that you find when you try to go opposite.
En este caso aprovecho los arañazos que el rodillo hace sobre la piedra cuando se lima para obtener una textura circular. Me ayuda a representar las zarzas que encuentras cuando tratas de ir en contra.
In this case it's silkscreen, two inks. Poppies have always had a special meaning to me.
En este caso uso serigrafía, dos tintas. Las amapolas siempre han tenido un significado especial para mí.
