These are my character sketches for the two characters Maggie and The Duke from the film Escaping New York.

I took a different approach to this character, taking in prison hierarchy. I ended up with an almost Rasputin type of character.

I added fine details to his character, including neck tattoos with Bible verses, scars along his face and neck and a full face cross tattoo.

With the Maggie character, I did go with a more traditional idea of a assassin, however I adapted her style to fit the scene of a prison island with scarce resources.

I designed a couple different tattoos, that all communicate her status in the prison society, similar to those of Russian prison tattoos. Some on her face and one on her forearm, which symbolically states her as an assassin.

I as able to design crude armor for her, including a spiked neck piece, a metal cage arm band and chain mail fashioned out of pop can tops, on her gloves.
