I was only responsible for UI aesthetic on this one. Functional product and UI mockups in a different style already existed when I came on to the project.
This project was on a very tight timeline. Only four days total from initial concept to implementation ready, including iteration.
I made some pretty cool blending images that fade in or out depending the XY pad's node position. The goal was to create a subtle visual shifting that reinforced the importance of the XY pad in shaping your sound. See the below video for an example.

Below is some "mood art" I made for the project. This stuff gets used in marketing and other supporting materials. Similar to the background and node style in the main UI, this image is a nod to impossible geometry, which was an inspirational theme for the effect itself.
