My client came to me wanting a logo for her new online publishing business. She wanted to incorporate some family history into the design and she showed me the photo below of the old Plaisted lantern that hung outside her ancestors' pub.

I thought about how both light and knowledge through reading can be very illuminating. I incorporated the lantern and a house into the logo, with the feel of light emanating from it. The client was very happy with the design and it is seen globally through her business.
