Sound Visualisation 2011
As part of my Masters Thesis (London College of Communication) I investigated peoples experience of travel on the London Underground. Having identified the consistent negative experiences, I focussed on how the senses were affected within the carriage and whether there was a place for graphic design to alleviate some of the attacks that the senses took on a daily basis.
The isolated senses that were identified were Proximity (closeness to others), Sight (profileration/ lack of imagery) & Hearing (Noise levels). These visuals represent the visual study on noise samples collected from each tube line, for a particular duration and at a certain time of day. This gave me great insight into those lines mostly affected by high dB readings and in which ways.
