The Laramie Project

This poster was designed for Middlesex Community College Theater Department Production of a play "The Laramie Project."
It is a real life story that happened in Laramie, WY in 1998. A young gay man was beaten and left, tied to a fence, to die.
My concept was to show the scale of the tragedy that happened, that's why I used Laramie skyline. The bottom of the title is tinted in red to show the bloody sunrise when the boy was found. The wing represents the action taken by volunteers. They made wings from fabric, put them on and stood as a shield between two demonstrations—one was mourning the boy, the other one had completely opposite views.
