Calligraph was a publication created around the theme of hand-done typography, which led me to choosing the name and masthead. I used a long stitch binding method to sew the signatures into the spine, creating the masthead out of the stitches. Additionally, each signature within the magazine increases in width to create a layered effect when lying flat, mimicking the layered lines of the masthead. Articles covered in the magazine include calligraphy, typographic sketches, embroidered type, and more.
