Mediashare [CI]

This logo and identity for "mediashare"; a consultancy company that partners with several other media-oriented agencies in order to develop an innovative vision a visualization of "sharing" and "media. To share means to distribute, to cast, to pass. Media is a collective noun and refers to various means of communication. Therefore the new visual identity of "mediashare" is inspired by the plurality of media solutions it comprises. The idea was to capture and illustrate the structure of the company (different elements are coming together) and the the process of sharing (symbolized by a growing or extending effect). The round shape, a circle, is the central core element and represents the cohesive whole of the company. Like a cake which is cut in order to distribute the pieces the circle functions as a geometry that can be divided into different segments out of one single interface. 
Furthermore, the round circle consists of several segments, each standing for one different media solution, thus are colored differently. As the amount of media solutions that are offered by the companies can vary within time I was looking for something that gives the impression of an open end and is flexible. The idea is that each time a media solution that belongs to an agency and is represented by one segment is joining or leaving the company a new shape of the logo can be used. Finally I came up with a logo that has 722 different possible variations. The design encompasses a business card, a letterhead and an animation.
