Copy That! Effective Copy Writing class project.

Three magazine add designs, fully concepted, written, designed and comped by myself for Effective Copy Writing class for my MFA program. These are testimonial ads created using personas that I developed earlier in the class (shown at bottom). The use of personas is one of my all-time favorite tools for design, keeping my focus upon the targeted audience to maintain a voice specific to the design. The depth of research and critical thinking for this class was truly insightful, perhaps my greatest joy as a designer is the never ending requirement to ask more questions and research more answers. 
Two personas created from research into the nonprofit organization, their targeted audience and their competitors. With nonprofits, any community organization that is seeking public donation to succeed is a direct competitor. The importance of finding the correct voice to effectively reach the target audience and persuade them towards your specific cause becomes even greater in this industry.
