My Collector
This project is a made in my second year at ArtEZ institute of the arts,
for the subject Interaction Design.
'My collector' is based on the Filter Bubble.
Every time we go online google gathers data about us,
this way Google is personalizing our web.
It means algorithms show us what we are supposed to see.
All the information we consume is based on our previous searches.
With this project the idea was to make people aware of this invisible filter.
Is the internet still this open space of information,
Now that we are living in our own filter bubble?
Begin
The user downloads the extention > Accepts the Terms and Conditions > Fills in his/her address and name. / The extention will now gather the search history, It will not be visible during the process.
During
The user will eventually forget that he/she is being tracked > We gather and sort the search terms.
After
The user will receive their own personal filter bubble in physical form (delivered by us as a service) > When the user breaks the bubble, he/she will look in to their own bubble shown in text.
