Kingston Ont. (13/06/16)-“I am not here tonight to talk to you on behalf of the University, I’m not here to talk to you behalf of the united church, I’m here to speak to you personally. I am grieving. We’re all grieving. There are millions of people around the world tonight who are grieving. We are grieving for those who were murdered, we are grieving for hose who loved them, we are grieving for those who are injured, we are grieving for those who lived through this horror and are scarred emotionally. We’re grieving for all of humanity. I mean I don’t know about you but i’m not JUST grieving. I’m also angry. I’m angry that i live in a world where one person with hatred can cause so much anguish and so much pain. I hate that we live in a world where weapons of mass destruction are available to anyone who wants to buy them.” Said Ruth Wood, a retired united church minister and part time Chaplin at Queen’s University.
