    A Blok and Lovechild (LA) initiative sets out to reframe our understanding of three megalopolises by exploring the intersection between our idealized images of these cities and their underlying personas, and how one makes possible the other. In this first project about Los Angeles, photographer Renato D’Agostin, unites with urban critic and author, Norman Klein. The dialogue between D’Agostin’s instinctual images and Klein’s critical essay challenges our preconceived ideas of what makes the city true to itself. In production: Origins, a podcast series that looks at how some of LA’s most significant but overlooked landmarks have influenced our perceptions. Read Less
