Sudden Cardiac Awareness Campaign

This project is an awareness campaign based on Sudden Cardiac Death. This message doesn’t have a strong voice in society but is important. Cardiac Risk in the Youth (CRY) is to raise awareness on Sudden Cardiac Death to inform students on the value of getting checked. 
 
Type, colour, illustration and layout are used for this awareness campaign. The typefaces used ‘Scala Sans’ and ‘Triplex’ reference the key values ‘structure’ and ‘rhythm’ of the heart linking the relationship for this visual campaign identity. Both typefaces were picked for their friendly look and distinctive structure. As part of this campaign students would be able to record their ECG using a state of the art watch and have them printed out.
Concept from print to digital showing symptom to raise awarness
Ensuring that “Dit health Week” is used for handing out flyer so people know where it is. 
A center fold brochure that print your ECG results from the sport band on the day. It has your details of the data recorded and on the opposite and other screening test should you get detected with something.One poster fold that has symptoms and test that are done relating to sudden cardiac death. The flip side would be a visual of promoting sudden cardiac death. 
The back would show the visual data of your ECG wristband result. The user would have there own individual rhythm printed out on the awareness campaign day.
I address the issue on raising awareness by taking an angle and focusing on symptoms that can be passed daily thinking it is nothing. The illustrations, colour, and type are chosen to give a tone and look to such a topic.

Design for the app holds more of information about the brand ‘Cardiac Risk in the Youth’ and information on sudden cardiac death. The app will hold an archive section if people get diagnosed with a condition. It can archive the screening test so you can communicate back and forth one to one with your cardiologist making the time feel valuable. Visual graphics of data and warning symptoms will be mixed to balance out the text of the original layout. It should have a friendly feel not overwhelming.  The app is for users who want to further they awareness on the topic and/or got diagnosed with a heart disease. 
Exhibition of the work laid out. The posters and identity are on the wall, the shelf holds the ECG watch, design document, flyer and poster fold  which holds information about symptoms and screenings Cardiac Risk in the Youth do. The flip side shows a character with one of the symptoms on the wall. The poster fold and flyer would be handed out to students in college .
