Shell Building Wrap
For the headquarters of Shell in The Hague, we were asked to create a building wrap. But not just some building wrap, this was going to be the largest in The Netherlands, with a size of 2064m2.
The image shows 170 employees of Shell in 25 different rooms, displaying the companies wide variety of activities. Ranging from the geologist who maps out the subsoil geology to the maintenance engineer at the refinery, and the road tanker driver who delivers fuel to the service station to Jaap himself sitting on the toilet.
Creative agency Brandbase, located in Amsterdam, reached out to us for this project.
This is the first sketch we received.
With this sketch we started working out a more detailed drawing with creatives Tim Voors and Kevin Gozems.
The final version was really precise, showing every room, how many people in those rooms and what their actions would be. See below:

From here on, we could start converting this concept into something real.
The final image is a combination of computer generated images and real photography. The entire construction of the building and some of the rooms were created in CGI in cooperation with Luminous CI. Other rooms are build completely from photographic material.
