Cocoon
A Semper product designed to reflect the inner workings of a butterfly or moth cocoon. Something less desirable (cold water/a caterpillar) goes in and gets replaced by something more desirable (hot water/a butterfly).
The different coloured water tanks represent the colour change in the thermo-chromic pigmented glass. The kettle changes from blue (cold) to red (hot) in accordance with the temperature of the water. The user sees the transformation happening within the cocoon.
Concept Sketches of the Cocoon. As its name suggests, the design is heavily inspired by the weaving of silk cocoons and webs by some of nature's busiest species.
