Agoggles (Student project)

Was thinking about what was at the bottom of the sea, and decided there was definitely a pimp marlin. The swirly element is the black hole where designs go to die when they are unloved.....not being negative, but we all have those days when things just aren't clicking creatively.
Couple of my sketches that I retraced with a sharpie, scanned and brought into Illustrator. And yes, that was meant to be Spongebob's house.
Except for the bubbles and the hand with missing fingers, all other graphic elements were hand drawn, scanned in and image traced in Illustrator. The hand was done just using the pencil and smooth tools in Illustrator and the bubbles were just shapes and a paintbrush stroke for the highlight.
Fish was drawn in Illustrator using the paintbrush. After the direction of the packaging changed slightly (original brief was to design packaging for a deskfan for scuba divers, then during portfolio preparation it changed to goggles for kids due to my design aesthetic) and some elements were removed, like the knife, I had space to fill, so I just drew a fish with a moustache.
I placed the elements and my teacher took the photo of this scene. Although, she had to fiddle with the box a little to get the goggles to sit right for this shot due to us only having a light cardboard to print on. The seaweed and starfish were also drawn in Illustrator.
